Terms of Service — HALP Network

1. Introduction and Agreement

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and House And Land Packages Pty Ltd (ABN 92 631 641 408) ("HALP"). By accessing or using our websites, platforms, or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

For Advertisers, these Terms also include the Listing Agreement, which is incorporated by reference. Where there is any inconsistency regarding listing specifics, the Listing Agreement prevails.

2. Description of Services

HALP operates property discovery and business directory platforms. We facilitate connections between property seekers and property providers, aggregate and display property and business information, and provide research tools. We are not a real estate agent, developer, builder, or financial advisor.

Property listing inquiries go directly to the listing agent — HALP does not store or process them. Platform inquiries (Contact Us, Join Us, Advertise With Us) are managed by HALP per our Privacy Policy.

3. Accounts and Registration

You must be at least 18 years of age and provide accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You must comply with all applicable laws and use our services in good faith. Prohibited activities include unauthorised automated access, misuse of the platform, harmful content, illegal activities, harassment, and commercial misuse. Violations may result in suspension, termination and legal action.

5. Property Listings and Information

Property listings are provided by third parties. HALP does not verify the accuracy of all listing information and makes no warranties regarding availability, pricing, fitness for purpose, or condition. Always verify critical information directly with the property provider before making decisions.

School zone information is provided for reference only. Always confirm current catchments with the school and the Victorian Department of Education. Enrolment is not guaranteed.

6. Business Directory Listings

Advertisers must hold a valid ABN or ACN, comply with applicable law, and provide accurate information. Listings must not contain misleading or deceptive claims. HALP may remove listings that breach these Terms.

7. Payment Terms (Advertiser Subscriptions)

Fees are in AUD, exclusive of GST unless stated. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled; there are no refunds for voluntary cancellations, but pro-rata refunds apply for technical issues preventing service access.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our platforms is owned by HALP or licensed to us. We grant you a limited licence to access our platforms for personal, non-commercial purposes. You retain ownership of user-generated content but grant us a licence to use it.

9. Disclaimers

HALP does not provide financial, mortgage, investment, legal, tax or real estate advice. Calculators and tools provide estimates only. Property data may contain errors; information is provided "as is". We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted access.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HALP excludes liability for indirect and consequential damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to $100 AUD for free services, or for paid services the lesser of $1,000 AUD or the amount paid in the prior 12 months. Nothing excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

11. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Before initiating proceedings, contact legal@halp.com.au and allow 30 days for informal resolution.

12. General

If any provision is invalid it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest continues in effect. We may modify these Terms at any time by updating this page and notifying registered users of material changes.
